Fireworks Restrictions
Fireworks Prohibited in Our Community
To keep our community safe and protect nearby forests, please remember that fireworks are illegal in our area. Here’s what you need to know:
- No Fireworks on ODF Lands or Nearby: The Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) prohibits fireworks on any ODF-protected lands and within 1/8th of a mile of these areas. This includes all forested regions managed by ODF.
- Prohibited in Evans Valley : This means that fireworks are not allowed anywhere within Fire District #6 or in the City of Rogue River.
- BLM Lands Ban: Fireworks are also banned on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lands.
- Report Firework Activity: If you see fireworks being used in these restricted areas, you should contact non-emergency dispatch at (541) 776-7206. For more immediate concerns, dial 911.
For more information and to view protected land boundaries, you can explore the ODF Protected Land Map here. You can also visit the ODF website to learn about wildfire prevention and safety measures in our region.
